Market intelligence for ecommerce brands

Heedfield continuously monitors your competitors, customers and market, then tells you what changed, why it matters and what to do next.

Private beta for small and medium ecommerce brands. Free during the beta.

Live monitoring

You can’t watch everything. Your competitors are counting on it.

Prices change overnight. A rival launches a bundle. Customers start complaining about the same thing in reviews. A new brand starts taking your search traffic. None of it arrives in your inbox, and by the time you notice, you’ve already lost the sales.

Too many places to look.

Competitor sites, marketplaces, review pages, forums, search results and news. Nobody has time to check them all every week.

Tools built for enterprises.

Most competitive-intelligence software is priced and designed for companies with an analyst team.

AI answers you can’t trust.

Generic chatbots give one-off answers with no sources and no memory of what changed last month.

A research team that never stops working.

Three specialist researchers and one senior analyst, working on your market every day.

Competitors

Tracks competitor products, prices, promotions, launches and positioning, and flags the changes that matter.

Customers

Reads public reviews and discussions about you and your competitors to find recurring complaints, unmet needs and objections.

Market

Follows trends, news and new brands entering your category, so you see shifts before they show up in your sales.

Analyst

Cross-checks everything the researchers find, throws out weak findings, and turns the rest into a short, ranked list of threats, opportunities and actions.

From your store to a decision in three steps.

01

Tell us about your business.

Add your store, your main competitors and the products you care about. It takes about five minutes.

02

We research continuously.

Heedfield monitors public sources every day: competitor sites, prices, reviews, discussions, search and news. Every finding is stored with its source and date, so your intelligence builds up over time.

03

You get what matters.

A dashboard that answers “what do I need to know?” in under 30 seconds, alerts only for genuinely important changes, and a weekly intelligence report with recommended actions.

This is what intelligence looks like.

Not a summary. Ranked findings, with the evidence and a suggested action. (Examples below use a fictional store.)

Example

Opportunity · High importance · Confidence: Medium-high

A competitor’s most-reviewed product has a recurring sizing complaint.

Fact: 31 of the last 120 public reviews of Northfield Co.’s best-selling jacket mention it runs small. Source: public product reviews, collected 2 Oct.

Inference: Shoppers comparing the two brands may be open to a clearer size guide.

Recommendation: Add a “fits true to size” note and a size chart to your comparable product page, and test it in ads aimed at this product category.

Example

Threat · High importance · Confidence: High

Two competitors cut prices on your core range this week.

Fact: Harbour & Pine dropped 4 products by 15%. Lumen Goods started a 20%-off bundle on the same category. Sources: competitor product pages, checked 1 Oct and 3 Oct.

Inference: Likely end-of-season clearance rather than a permanent price change, based on timing in previous years.

Recommendation: Hold full price for 7 days and watch conversion. Reconsider if the discounts are still running next week.

Example

Signal · Low importance · Confidence: Low

Possible rising interest in refillable packaging.

Two forum threads and one news article this month. Insufficient evidence to act on yet. Heedfield will keep monitoring and alert you if it grows.

Every finding separates what is a fact, what is our interpretation, and what we recommend. When the evidence isn’t strong enough, we say so.

Every finding shows its working.

You should never have to take an AI’s word for it. Each finding in Heedfield comes with:

  • Source: where it came from, with a link where possible

  • Date: when it was found

  • Confidence: how strong the evidence is, and whether sources agree

  • Importance: how much it is likely to affect your business

  • Fact, inference, recommendation: always kept separate

If the evidence is weak, Heedfield says “insufficient evidence” instead of guessing.

We only use publicly available information and respect the terms of the sites we monitor.

Your market, on one screen.

The Overview answers one question first: what do I need to know?

Analyst summary: three sentences on what changed this week

Threats and opportunities: ranked by importance, each one backed by evidence

Competitor changes: prices, products and launches, with history

Customer themes: what people praise and complain about across your category

Market health: a quick read on where your category is heading
